Job Description:**


The Manager, Accounting performs duties in Accounting and Human Resources. Responsible for all administrative functions and staff supervision at the Operating Company (OpCo), including accounting, payroll, human resources, equipment/facilities maintenance, cash control and clerical support. Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.


Duties to include, but are not limited to the following:


+ Oversees credit, accounts payable, billing and cash application functions; expense invoice processing, and data input.

+ Ensures all monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and financial reports are properly prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and on a timely basis.

+ Ensures appropriate segregation of duties is maintained and appropriate procedures are implemented to properly record all accounting transactions and safeguard company assets.

+ Manages activities related to the organization's compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX).

+ Coordinates development of annual budgets and forecast; analyzes monthly financial results, reports variances and makes appropriate recommendations.

+ Responsible for oversight of the human resources and employee relations functions. including staffing functions such as job posting and management, screening and interviewing of candidates as well as orientation and onboarding of new associates at all levels.

+ Has oversight of employee coaching and counseling, benefits enrollment, responses to employee inquiries, personnel recordkeeping, worker's compensation administration; payroll and timekeeping functions.

+ May also include supervision of the receptionist and office clerical staff to include: staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.


+ Provides and manages superior administrative support for Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources departments.


+ Financial responsibilities: Accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash control, receiving, and office clerical functions


+ Human Resources responsibilities: Employment-related duties, payroll and facilities coordination


+ Manages staff and process in a positive, professional manner


+ Interfaces with department managers when needed

**Required Qualifications:**


High School Diploma or Equivalent


Bachelor's Degree in related field (Accounting or Finance)


4-6 Years of experience in Accounting


Some Human Resources experience


Supervisory experience 2-3 Associates


Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial internal controls.
